From pots to glaciers. There are many glaciers around the world, but this one is famous for a particular event. Any guess?

If seeing the snows on Kilimanjaro appeals to you but the idea of the summit climb does not, our Kili Express tour is perfect for you, or delve into the magical world of Nepal at the base of the Himalayan range.

If immersing yourself in the contrasts of Namibia try this adventure explorer tour - ideal for the young at heart. For glaciers and unsurpassed views, head out on a cruise to Alaska

A trip of courage to Everest Base Camp is in the news, and our Q&A looks at the start point for Kilimanjaro.

Our picture of the month is of the Rosefinch of Nepal and our photo series looks at Tibetan Temple colours.

Last month's image gave a lot of people trouble. We had some pretty close guesses in terms of the nearby region. Although the plants in the foreground were easy, the mountains in the back threw many people off course. The correct answer came from Elizabeth Walton. It is Luna, La Paz, also known as the moon valley.

Then regarding the prior months photo of the Plain of Jars, our apologies to Henry Ordower, who did in fact supply the right answer, which through our own internal communication breakdown never made it to this page. Thank you Henry. Pam Gillespie also sent us through a stunning photo from her trip to the Plain of Jars. She was island hopping at the time and could not get it to us sooner. Our clients and readers certainly do travel - keep it up!

In the News - Paraplegic Australian reaches Everest Base Camp by climbing on his hands, piggybacking...

An Australian paraplegic who lost the use of his legs as a teenager has climbed to Everest Base Camp in Nepal, using mostly his hands, and the occasional piggyback ride from a friend.

Everest Base Camp can only be reached by foot or helicopter, and the trek usually takes between nine to 12 days to complete.

Scott Doolan, 28, managed to do it in 10 days, becoming the first paraplegic to complete the feat with minimal assistance.

Question of the Month
Can I fly into Dar es Salem to climb Kilimanjaro?

Yes, you can - many people use it as a hub, however you need to then take a second flight to Kilimanjaro Airport, or a bus to Moshi.

If you have a question you want answered, send it to us. We publish one per month.
