EASTERN SKIES : SOUTH AFRICA JOHANNESBURG MPUMALANGA TO
DURBAN TOUR
Day 1: Johannesburg to Blyde River
Canyon
This morning the tour heads east
along the Panorama Route, heading for our overnight camp at Blyde River
Canyon , the third-oldest canyon in the world. Be prepared for some stunning
scenery. (+- 466 Km)
Day 2: Blyde River Canyon
The morning is spent exploring
the Blyde River Canyon. Enjoy exclusive boat trips on the Blyde Dam, spot
hippo, crocodile and the Tufa waterfall. After lunch, we head for a wildlife
rehabilitation centre and then travel on to Bushman’s Camp for the night.
Dinner is served around the fire. (+- 38 Km)
Day 3: Kruger National Park
Entering the world-famous Kruger
National Park (KNP) via the Orpen Gate, guests have the opportunity to spend
the entire day spotting game and birdlife from open safari vehicles,
returning to Bushmans Camp that evening.
Day 4: Swazi Game Reserve
Today’s travels take us further
south, with highlights being a visit to the Jane Goodall Institute
chimpanzee sanctuary. Then the tour heads for Swaziland. Upon completing the
border formalities, we travel to our overnight camp in a Swazi game reserve.

Day 5; Jozini Dam
Moving further south through
Swaziland, we re-enter South Africa and arrive at our bush camp on the banks
of the Jozini Dam. This area has a prolific variety of game and bird species
and the dam itself is home to abundant Tiger Fish, crocodile and hippo. (+-
150 Km)
Day 6: Zululand
This morning we travel to
Zululand, setting up camp in the heart of the coastal forests, where the
local wildlife wanders through the campsite and the Bush Babies serenade you
to sleep. (+- 100 Km
Day 7: Umfolozi/Hluhluwe Game
Reserve
An early start today as we head
for a full days game viewing in the Umfolozi/Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Likely
sightings of rhino, buffalo and elephant make for an action-packed day,
before returning to camp. (+- 150 Km)
Day 8: Durban
Breaking camp, we head along the
coastline to Durban, which marks the end of the tour. (+- 340 Km).
