ACROSS UGANDA ITINERARY
DAY 1:NAIROBI
Arrive Nairobi Airport meet and greet and transfer to Nairobi Serena Hotel for overnight on a bed and breakfast basis
DAY 2 : NAIROBI – AMBOSELI
Early morning breakfast after whcih we depart from Nairobi for a 5 hour drive South East through the Athi/Kapiti Plains to Amboseli to arrive in time for lunch at Amboseli Serena lodge. After a rest in the afternoon we will head out on an evening game drive where, weather permitting we will have a good chance to see Kilimanjaro and take photos of the Mountain with wildlife in the background. Most photos you see of Kilimanjaro have been taken from Amboseli. All meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena.
DAY 3: AMBOSELI
We will head out on an early morning game drive which is when Mt. Kilimanjaro usually appears from its mantle of clouds. We return for breakfast at the lodge followed by further game drive where one can see herds of Elephants and other game. Lunch at the lodge followed by afternoon siesta or relax at the pool. In the evening we will head out on a further game drive with dinner and overnight at the lodge as before.
DAY 4: AMBOSELI – LAKE ELEMENTAITA
Early morning breakfast and then drive to Lake Elementaita via Nairobi - the drive takes 6 hours. We will arrive at Elementaita Serena Camp in the afternoon and spend the afternoon relaxing at the Camp or take in a nature walk on the lake shores. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
DAY 5: LAKE ELEMENTAITA – LAKE NAKURU GAME DRIVE
After a lazy morning and breakfast, we will drive for 1 hours to Lake Nakuru National Park and spend the rest of the day on extensive game drive within the park. This part is described as an ornithologist paradise. Here one has an opportunity to see up to two million flamingos besides tens of thousands of others birds if lucky. Lake Nakuru is also a rhino sanctuary and also harbors lions, warthog, waterbuck, buffalo, hippo and many other animals. Return to Elementaita Serena Camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: LAKE ELEMENTAITA – MASAI MARA
Early morning breakfast and therafter check out of the camp and depart for Masai Mara with picnic lunch on the way. The drive takes 6 to 7 hours via Narok Town. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon and a short rest before proceeding on an evening game drive in search of black manned lion, elephants, leopard, leopard, cheetah, buffalo and other plains game. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge.
DAY 7: MASAI MARA
Early pre-breakfast game drive as this is the best time to see the big cats hunting. We then return to the camp for breakfast, followed by further game drive. Return to the lodge for lunch and afternoon siesta or relaxing afternoon followed by evening game drive. All meals and overnight at the Mara Serena Lodge
DAY 8: MASAI MARA – NAIROBI
Early morning game drive, breakfast and then depart from the lodge and make a 6 hours drive to Nairobi to arrive late afternoon to the Airport in time for your evening for flight home. Lunch on this day is not included.
