Day 2: Kigali to Nyungwe via Butare – Culture & History En Route
After breakfast, begin your scenic drive to Nyungwe National Park (approx. 6.5 hours), traveling via Butare with enriching cultural stops along the way. You'll visit the National Museum at Butare, one of Africa’s finest ethnographic museums, and the King's Palace at Nyanza, an impressively restored royal residence that offers insight into pre-colonial Rwandan monarchy. Enjoy lunch in Butare, then continue your journey through the verdant countryside to Nyungwe, arriving in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee & Colobus Monkey Trekking in Nyungwe Forest
Start your day early with breakfast before heading into Nyungwe Forest National Park for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience. Rwanda is home to an endangered population of around 400 chimpanzees, and trekking through the misty forest in search of them is truly exhilarating. Later in the day, continue your adventure with a trek to see the Ruwenzori Colobus Monkeys—a large troop of rare and acrobatic primates found only in the Albertine Rift region. Return to your lodge for a well-deserved dinner and overnight rest.

Day 4: Return to Kigali – Departure

After bidding farewell to your hosts, begin the 6-hour scenic drive back to Kigali, where you'll have time for last-minute shopping or exploring Rwanda's charming capital before transferring to Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight.
